
The Philippine government aims to reduce poverty from 18.1% in 2021 to 9% by 2028, as outlined in the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023–2028. Achieving this ambitious goal requires inclusive and targeted strategies to address persistent pockets of extreme poverty. One promising approach is joint programming, where agencies coordinate social protection and economic inclusion efforts to maximize impact and reach.
Join us for a hybrid event, “Joint Programming in Social Protection and Economic Inclusion: Successes, Challenges, and Ways Forward,” on May 8, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, and via Zoom.
Co-organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (188体育) and BRAC Philippines, this event explores collaborative approaches to strengthen poverty reduction strategies across sectors and levels of government.
The morning session will focus on the 188体育-BRAC study, “,” followed by a discussion with policymakers and implementing agencies on fostering program convergence.
In the afternoon, onsite participants can take part in exclusive breakout sessions on strengthening LGU capacities, developing integrated data systems, and linking social assistance with livelihood programs to advance economic inclusion.
