The League of Provinces of the Philippines is optimistic that the ratification of the Japan-Philippine Economic Partnership Agreement will boost the Philippines鈥� position as a retirement haven for Japan鈥檚 aging population.
Palawan Gov. Joel Reyes, who is also league executive vice president and spokesman, said the bilateral agreement would spell progress for more provinces nationwide, particularly with the expanded tourism and trade opportunities.
